On rare occasions I finds me a book as scrumptious as a Stouffers casserole.

However, the last book that got me all up and excite said I warn’t allowed to eat casseroles no more on accounts that they weren’ts Paleolithic or sumthin’ of the sorts.

No matter. It’s still think it’s a pretty darned good book. So good, in fact, that I bought two copies. That ways I can read it twice.

Just don’t tell my girlfriend or nothin’, OK?

Because she says she don’t likes me reading anyhow. Says she don’t want me getting no “big ideas”. Says she don’t wants me thinking too much. Says it’s best to keep me simple.

I reckon she’s probably right.

Or driving a Saturn with no brakes...
I find my biggest hurdle with the paleo diet is variety in food preparation. I feel like I am eating the same thing day after day with only small alterations. Maybe time to pick up the Paleo Cookbook.

The hardest thing about eating paleo is finding travel ready food. I spend a lot of time traveling for work and its difficult on its own and made even harder with the security regulations (no ice packs to keep things "fresh"). Jerky, almonds, carrots, apples...repeat. It gets old and sodium becomes a concern.

My biggest challenge is regaining the 5 lbs muscle that I lost due to a nasty disease last November. I eat clean Paleo, work out with Kettlebells but I'm also a hardgainer and feel rather skinny at the moment. My friends suggested adding more carbs. However, I'm not giving up paleo. Now, there's a challenge. :)

My biggest challenge is I work long hours on the night shift which makes me more susceptible to eating poorly and making bad decisions, even when I pack a lunch. My diet is probably the main thing hindering my progress right now and trying to get control of it is tough. I have two boys and I don't want them to pick up on my bad habits either. Being a single income family is tough too. We want to eat right and healthy but realistically we can't afford it. I've been researching Paleo and it could be exactly what my family and I need.

Gee Pat. I would like to fine tune my food intake a bit better. that sugar demon is always on my shoulder. I have finaly gotten a solid grip on fasting a solid 32 hours once a week. now I need to manage the rest of the week so I dont reach for sugar n carbs. I think that the best way to do this will be with the information thats available in living paleo. thank you and Dr. Kellyann for this offer.

The most challenging thing about living a paleo lifestyle, for my wife and I, is breakfast! I'm okay with eating left over spaghetti squash or chicken breast in the morning, but my wife still tends to lean towards cereal. At least it's gluten free. Since I do the cooking in the family I've really had to work at finding suitable breakfast recipes, which has been easier recently thank to the advancement of the Paleo "movement".

Living a paleo lifestyle is important to me because I'm not getting any younger. I'll be 30 this year, and I want to be able to play rugby for as long as possible. Since I've switched to "mostly" paleo I've been able to recover faster and generally increased my performance on the pitch. Also, my hot wife is super-hot when she's at a healthy body weight.

I find the hardest part about eating healthy is getting your children to like all the "good" foods. It's so difficult to eat healthy when they want/like all the foods that are not on the Paleo diet. Especially when you are a single mom and it's so much easier to cook food that I know they are going to eat instead of wasting.

Hey Pat,

My biggest challenge is to find food without refined sugar & flour. Although it sounds easy, when you really dig down, you'll find many items at the grocery store with all sorts of sugars in the ingredients (i,e,: many things ending in "ose."). I'd like Living Paleo to help me find more alternatives to today's sugar-saturated market.

With so many bazillion other foods to enjoy, the trouble in my household has been how to get the family on board. The children are somewhat polluted by what they see at school etc, and resist their mothers rightness...imagine!!! How can i feed them powerful whole foods without their suspicions spoiling the experience? ( ....and how can i hide the offal?) Mwahhahahaha!!!!

My biggest challenge with nutrition was the "buffet-style" approach of filling bits and pieces of this plan and that plan because of my lack of focus and determination to stick to one solid program.

Last year I discovered kettlebells which rebooted my sedentary lifestyle into one enjoying being active and healthy once again. Combining all that I have learned in 2012 with a more EDUCATED focus on nutrition will allow me to progress my health and fitness in 2013 (and beyond)!

My biggest challenge is knowing what I can and can't have. I'm still learning and after 42 years (26 in my head) of eating non-paleo it's a lot to remember when grocery shopping. I enjoy cooking but I like to cook exciting things. I'm not a boring girl so if it gets boring I tend to walk away. So I would like this book to teach this dummy how to make things exciting. I look forward to easy but creative recipes. And learning how to be paleo smart. I just read "the Paleo Diet" by Loren Cordain. I had to read it twice to really get it cuz it was written by a scientist...good thing I'm a scientist so I was able to keep up. A dummies book will be refreshing to read.

As always Pat, thanks for what you do...and listen to youre woman!!

I want to be able to "put all the pieces together," as this lifestyle is so new to me...47 years of bad diet and just a basic misunderstanding of my body and what it takes to be without the fat that has hung on me for so stinking long is my biggest challenge for this year.

I've been paleo for a year and half, and, this may sound obnoxious, but I don't find it hard at all. I up my carbs with sweet potatoes and root veggies on heavy KB days, eat a lot of eggs, nut fats, protein with every meal. Eating out can be a drag when the person you are with has a plate of lasagna or pizza, but it can be handled. It was an epiphany for me when I read the Paleo Solution, and I adapted rather quickly; Much like when I discovered Enter the Kettlebell.
