I will write a little post for you, if you want to hear about it, hear how my 2016 went. Then you can tell me how yours went. Then we can tell each other what we both want to accomplish in the New Year. Sound good?
Alright, well, let’s see. So I would say that 2016 was pretty good with some problems. My grandfather died and so did my dog. Those were the two hardest things that happened to me and am still only just getting over them. Grief is a process and death is hard and always will be. I’ve accepted that and am not unfamiliar to it.
Business-wise things were good and I can’t complain as it was one of my best years, actually probably my best year at least, that is, financially speaking. But economics aren’t everything. I’ve been wanting to very much get into some more creative projects, which I am going to.
I started a new book. Or two, actually. I don’t have any release dates. I was hoping February for the first one, which is all about skill development and how you can use the same principles you do in the weight room for getting better at things like playing the guitar or writing, even. I know I’ve dropped a lot of hints and not a lot of details. I’ll do a better job of not being so mysterious.
The family is good and growing. Meara is one and half now and Roan is three. Also, there is another on the way. There is much incubating still to do but we are expecting he/she sometime in July.
My big goal for 2017?
Well, I want to get these books done. I don’t care about anything else, really–not money or growing the business or doing a one arm chin up, which to me those things are too easy, anyway. I just want to create and make something that people tell me is useful. Not that I don’t make stuff like that now, only… I don’t know. These projects are different, I guess.
But let me tell you what else is coming up.
I’m launching an online course with Dr. Spencer called the 27-Day Fat Loss Prescription, I think on the 10th. This will be really worth taking part in. All live online teachings, along with full programming from the both of us. You even get a free jug of our new line of protein, called Very Good Protein.
Also I have my own New Years Challenge coming up. Still don’t have a name for it, but will be heavy on kettlebells. You know I will always take care of you.
Well I’m starting a business podcast and in-person mastermind with Som and Jordan Syatt. So, busy, busy! The focus of course will be on earning an online income, with emphasis on fitness pros. But we’ll vary it up.
Now tell me about your goals. What’s your 2017 going to look like?
