Generalism is about focusing on breadth, as much as depth, of skill; it’s about becoming better than most people, at most things (even if you aren’t the best of any one), and, after which, stacking skills to form a competitive advantage, and creative spirit.
Generalism is not only the way around, but the way ahead, a method for successfully circumventing specialization (which fails people utterly). The generalists finds more opportunities and holds fresh perspectives.
