From the mailbox: “Pat, I have to insist that Powerage remains AC/DC’s greatest album. It’s a perfect maturing band album where you can hear elements of If You Want Blood and the mighty Highway to Hell which was yet to come. However, even though I am a Bon Scott guy, I admit to hearing loss from seeing them in a hockey rink for the Back in Black tour. I’ve been hanging around for a while…”
^ How to tell a true AC/DC fan from the sycophants and wannabes ; )
Rock and Roll Damnation, What’s Next to the Moon, all incredible tunes. Gone Shootin’ is one of my favorites; in fact, it’s a song I used to cover when I gigged with Feminist Cat-Lady, who always got hella-triggered anytime I drank from a Fiji Water bottle. (What can I say, she could sing AC/DC, so I had no choice but to switch to Dasani.) Another criminally underappreciated AC/DC album is Blow Up Your Video. Two’s Up has some of the best AC/DC guitar work on any album.
