How to Kettlebell Windmill – Step By Step Breakdown
The kettlebell windmill is (when done properly) a combination of thoracic rotation and hip flexion. Imagine, if you will, becoming a human wine bottle opener. That’s the windmill. It’s NOT rounding at your low back. That may be a windmill in yoga, but it’s the not the kind of windmill we’re talking about here.
What this exercise is good for? Honestly, almost everything. Great strength builder. Stellar for mobility and flexibility. And even puts stability through the shoulders, as well. Tight hips? Windmills can help. Tight hamstrings? Windmills can help. Under-developed obliques? Windmills can help.
Here’s how to do them.
